In this webinar, Dr. Jose Alexander from AdventHealth Orlando discuss the role the clinical microbiology lab has taken in integrating a rapid sample-to-answer diagnostic platform for the identification of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms and their associated antimicrobial resistance determinants.
Dr. Alexander also highlights a recent clinical case that illustrates the importance of rapid testing for organism identification, as well as the critical information that can be gained from the detection of an antimicrobial resistance gene, and how antimicrobial stewardship along with these results are key to clinical decision making in patients with bacteremia.
The webinar is followed by an extended Q&A session with Dr. Alexander.
